EN 301 549 kent een aantal aanvullende eisen. De toegankelijkheidsfuncties van browsers is daar een van. Welk dat zijn staat niet gedefinieerd. EN 301 549 spreekt van gedocumenteerde functies. Op Wikipedia is zo'n lijst aanwezig op de pagina Comparison of web browsers.
Browser aanvullende toegankelijkheidsfuncties
Voorbeelden:
- toetsenbord sneltoetsen
- toetsenbord navigatie (bijvoorbeeld met de Tab-toets)
- paginakleuren wijzigen (bijvoorbeeld dark mode)
- wijzigen van lettertypen en lettergroottes
- in-/uitzoomen
- tekst vergroten/verkleinen
- schermlezerfunctionaliteit
- spraakbesturing
- instellen van webcontent, bijvoorbeeld pop-ups, advertenties filteren, uitschakelen bewegend beeld.
Sommige functies zijn via de browser of via het besturingssysteem in te stellen. Sommige browsers bieden sommige functionaliteit via extensies aan.
